New President Hilda Williams Leads Ashtead Rotary into a Bright Future

Ashtead Rotary Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Hilda Williams as our new President, taking over from former President Tony Webb.

Hilda brings a lifetime of service and leadership to the role, having worked and trained as a nurse within the NHS, rising to become Matron at Ashtead Hospital and Clinical Development Lead at independent hospital provider Aspen Healthcare.

Hilda’s vision for her presidential year is rooted in community engagement. She is passionate about building stronger relationships within Ashtead and is committed to making Rotary more inclusive. Her goal is to encourage both men and women of all ages to join the Ashtead Rotary family, expanding our reach and enabling us to deliver even more impactful projects.

In an exciting new initiative, Hilda plans to explore Rotary Corporate membership opportunities for local businesses. This will allow companies to connect with the community, support local causes, and benefit from the values and network of Rotary.

Planning is already underway for Ashtead Village Day 2026, one of the highlights of our community calendar. Hilda is keen to build on the success of previous years and deliver an event that brings together families, local groups, and businesses in a celebration of Ashtead’s vibrant spirit.

With her healthcare background, leadership experience, and  commitment to service, Hilda Williams is poised to lead Ashtead Rotary into an exciting and impactful year.
