WHERE DOES ROTARY SPEND YOUR MONEY?

Well just a little bit has gone to the Ashtead Girl Guides, who needed to upgrade the electrics in their hut off Barnett Wood Lane.
Seen here is Ashtead Rotary Club President elect Hilda Williams, supporting our local troop with a little bit of financial help.
Most of Ashtead Rotary Club’s income comes from Ashtead Rotary Village Day – the annual village event that attracts between 6 to 8000 people every year. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and advertisers, not to mention the visitors who pay an entrance fee, the Club injects 100 per cent of its surplus from Village Day back into the local community as well as some internationally focused projects.
All our recent projects are highlighted on our website, so you can see for yourselves how monies are distributed. The range of projects is breath-taking with some going to the likes of the Guides and our amazing Air Ambulance service, while other goes to support our Ukrainian refugee visitors. Some, even trickles right up to the top of Rotary International to help support the organisation’s determination to crush the scourge of Polio worldwide.
So, if you are interested in joining Rotary, then do come and see us as Village Day, or simply use the ‘contact us’ button on this website.
